Aspen’s young chefs club
The Young Chefs Club is a new after school program I created as a way to reach students outside the classroom and teach them about easy, healthy cooking. I’ve teamed up with the Aspen Youth Center to provide a program and platform for kids to learn how to make simple, delicious treats using non-processed and cleaner ingredients.
What: The Young Chefs club is an after school cooking club where students will learn how to make a variety of healthy foods and snacks. These are hands-on cooking classes, both interactive and educational, addressing topics such as: what to eat to fuel your body, the sweet danger of added sugars and how to read nutrition labels.
Who: 5th -8th graders (10yrs - 14yrs).
Where: Aspen Youth Center located at the Aspen Rec. Center
When: Tuesdays after school from 4:30pm - 5:30pm
Pricing: Donation of $15/class to be made to the AYC.
